The Heath Family Multi Academy Trust was formed in 2013 and has grown to eight schools within the Greater Merseyside area.
The Trust currently consists of three secondary schools and five primaries across the local authority areas of Halton, Knowsley and Sefton.
The Trust has responsibility for over 3500 children and employs over 450 staff.
We are a charity and our work is overseen by members and trustees who act on a voluntary basis and receive no payment for their work. In addition, each school has its own Local Governing Body, made up of governors who are also volunteers and receive no payment.
Our schools are inspected by Ofsted in the same way as all other state schools. We have to follow the same rules on admissions, special educational needs and exclusions as other state schools and students sit the same exams.
We receive the same level of funding as other local schools and our schools do not charge fees. Our schools are part of the local authority admissions arrangements for their area and are non-selective.
As a Trust we receive funding directly from the government and our schools are therefore not under the control of the local authority. We do, however, work closely with our three local authorities and have excellent relationships with them.
We aim to maximise attainment and nurture confident, resilient and compassionate individuals.
To empower our children to overcome barriers, be able to compete with the best, and shape the future.
With kindness: we look out for each other.
With integrity: we do the right thing.
With tenacity: we do what it takes.
